Volunteer this winter (various dates and locations)

  • Team London Bridge 8 Holyrood Street London, England, SE1 2EL United Kingdom (map)

Every winter we invite London Bridge businesses and individuals to donate gifts that we send to small local charities, just in time for their festive gatherings.

If you’d like to donate gifts please get in touch with sofia@teamlondonbridge.co.uk

There are three types of volunteering opportunities:

1. Help us with the Gift Back campaign, this is best for individuals rather than teams. The activities will involve collecting, sorting or maybe wrapping gifts at our London Bridge Hive on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 10th Dec, 12:00 - 14:00

  • Tuesday 10th Dec, 15:00 - 17:00

  • Wednesday 11th Dec, 12:00 - 14:00

  • Wednesday 11th Dec, 15:00 - 17:00

2. Go to charities nearby and help them with their festive gatherings, this is best for teams. This could involve setting up the venue, running some activities, helping tidy up at the end.

  • BRITE Box project, 14th Nov or 12th Dec, 10:30am, a group of 4-6 people helping decant and pack fresh ingredients into meal kit boxes ready for distribution to schools. Walking distance from London Bridge.

  • Bede House, 6th Dec, 09:30-15:30, a group of 6-8 but could welcome a larger group. The tasks would be working on stalls, selling raffle tickets, or helping with preparing or serving food. Walking distance from London Bridge.

  • Riverside Parents and Carers Association, 11th Dec 9:30-13:00 - the xmas party for children and parents and carers; 5-6 people (help decorate the Santa's grotto, play father Christmas, elfs, to help FC giving the presents, a craft table and or face-painting etc). Walking distance from London Bridge.

  • Time & Talents, 6th Dec, 3:30-6:30pm, help with the setting up and activities at the Frozen Fete; also Wrapping Day on Thu 12th Dec, between 10am-5pm, time slots may vary depending on your availability

3. Set up your own volunteering lunch or afternoon for colleagues. This will only work if you’ve been collecting gifts and you think you are collecting a good number; the volunteering would involve wrapping the donations and labelling them, and dropping them to our office which is just by the station. Same examples below.

If you’d like to donate gifts or arrange a collection in your office, there’s still time to do so, get in touch with sofia@teamlondonbridge.co.uk
