Find out more about what the Mindful Business Charter is all about, how the community of 140 employer organisations involved operates and how you can use the Charter to create healthier and more effective ways of working for you and for your colleagues.
We know there is a crisis of mental health across society and our workplaces. In work, much of that is caused by stress. Most workplace initiatives are geared towards helping people manage that stress, or supporting them through the problems that persistent stress can so easily cause to our mental and physical health.
How about we focus on removing the stress in the first place? The Mindful Business Charter is a cross business initiative which provides a framework and common language for thinking about how we can identify and then remove the unnecessary sources of stress so that we can work both more healthily and more effectively – because aside from making us ill, stress also makes us less motivated and less productive.
The online session will run for 45 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for questions for those who would like to find out more.
Richard Martin leads the Mindful Business Charter. He is a former law firm partner with his own story of mental illness.
The Mindful Business Charter is a practical framework that encourages us to be more thoughtful about the impact we have on each other. It allows us to talk openly and honestly with others, by providing a common language built on four pillars.
