The Shard and Tower Bridge were among the landmarks across London that were in blue light on Thursday night to show gratitude for the work of the NHS staff and key workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

The illuminations coincided with applause across the UK, as the nation took part in the ‘Clap for our Carers’ initiative.
