Team London, the Mayor of London’s volunteer programme, have a new and exciting opportunity in major event volunteering.

Eight years on from London’s successful hosting of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, our wonderfully diverse city will host seven matches, including both semi-finals and the final, of the EURO 2020 Football Championships. We’ll be drawing on the knowledge and enthusiasm of 2,000 Londoners next summer to showcase our accessible culture, rich history, atmospheric parks and public spaces to a global audience, by them being part of our London Squad. The London Squad make up UEFA’s official EURO 2020 London Host City volunteer programme.

However, there’s a squad role that’s available this summer and autumn! Based at Wembley Stadium overlooking the famous turf, we’re looking for Selection Centre Squad volunteers to guide other applicants through their interview process. This will involve you being trained to work alongside our staff team, conducting 1-2-1 interviews and small group exercises with volunteer applicants who have applied for tournament-time roles.

Team London can offer flexibility in volunteering shifts (there are weekday, weekend, and evening options available from August – November), and with 200+ Selection Centre volunteers being recruited, we can work to ensure you end up in a squad with your day-to-day work colleagues (if you wish!) If you’re looking to enhance your skills in interviewing or facilitating, then look no further.

The opportunity also remains for employees to apply to the programme as an individual volunteer. In this case, just head here:https://londonsquad.rosterfy.eu/register  for further information and the application form.
