London Bridge due to Bloom twice this summer!

The London Bridge area is building up for a summer of horticultural competition.

Last year, the London Bridge community came together to impress the London in Bloom judge as he toured our parks and gardens on his way to awarding us a Gold Award and ‘Best in BID in London’ crown.

After visiting our many community beds, planters, sustainable gardens, wildflower meadows, living walls, pocket parks and secret gardens, our esteemed judge praised the way that the local green and environmental projects support businesses and community, and make London Bridge a better place for the workforce and local residents.

Our successes of 2023 means that the area is automatically entered into the RHS Britian in Bloom 2024 competition, making the steaks even higher. Provisional dates for the judges to visit the area are 9 July for London in Bloom and 12 August for RHS Britain in Bloom, and we encourage anyone with a garden, hanging basket or even a lonely plant pot on a windowsill to play their part and help make London Bridge as bright and welcoming as possible on those days.

Recognition in both competitions is a tremendous accolade for the area, our fantastic gardening teams, and the commitment that Team London Bridge makes to creating and enhancing our green spaces. We hope to be able to share some good news after the awards are decided in the autumn.
